Questions we get a lot

Do you have a storefront?

Yes! Come visit us at 25191 TX-46 W, Spring Branch, TX 78070. It's between El Jalisco and Honey Creek Church in the Landscape Lighting Guru complex. Our hours are Thursday to Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM.

How long does the bread stay fresh?

On the counter, it'll stay fresh for about 3 to 4 days; less if your house is warm or humid.

Should I store the bread in the fridge?

The refrigerator tends to draw moisture out of sourdough bread, causing it to dry out faster. I recommend storing at room temperature. If you won't eat it within a few days, freeze it.

What's the best way to freeze the bread?

Wrap your loaf tightly and freeze. You can also slice it and freeze the slices between parchment paper, thawing as needed. When ready, thaw at room temperature and enjoy within 3 to 4 days.

Do you have gluten free options?

We do not. Because of the abundance of wheat flour in our bakery, we can't offer any gluten free or gluten friendly products.

Do you accept special orders?

Not currently, due to capacity. I set the menu based on the maximum I can produce in a given week, first come, first served. I'm always working to offer as much as I possibly can!

You're sold out of the item I want! Can you add more?

I understand the frustration and wish I could make enough for everyone! Quantities are set at the maximum I can produce, so I can't add more once something sells out. I usually have a few extras for walk-ins, though.

Do you teach sourdough workshops?

Yes we do! See upcoming classes and buy a ticket at www.thebluebirdbreadco.com/workshops
